When my new van subscription runs out, I do not plan to renew my U Connect subscription. Are there any functions in U Connect that I really need to operate my van? Is the U Connect somehow connected to a subscription of XM radio? If I decided I wanted only one of the U Connect functions, can I buy just that function or is it just a one dimensional package getting all or none? My van will be stored about half of each year so paying for U Connect when van is in storage makes no sense.

The UConnect subscription really only applies to luxury features. See the page attached. SiriusXM is completely separate, and from what @ChryslerCares is saying, the Media features (like Pandora) and 5 year usage for free and they were uncertain what happens after the 5 years...I presume there will be upgrades to the software that will eliminate these apps in the head unit anyways.

Can U connect be made to use your phone's 4 G cell access instead of the slow 3 G U Connect interface?

Uconnect has nothing essential, considering that NO Canadian vehicles have it. We do get XM.
