I noticed they really talked about what may be gen 5, uconnect being based on android. Seemed a bit "the cart before the horse" as I didn't notice anything in there about when gen 4 might hit the rest of the fleet. Did I miss the update on that? did I just miss the update? I can't find anything as everything just brings up the uconnect being based on android stuff.

CES is usually about showcasing wiz bang new consumer technology. Uconnect 4 has already been showcased, so I wouldn't expect to see much about it at CES. Detailing when current technology will filter down to which models would be pretty dry for that type of show.

Any idea when to expect updates on uconnect gen 4? is it going to be a model year update by model year update?

I don't think we'll know until Chrysler decides to tell us. They may release a list of which 2018 vehicles will get it, or we may just have to wait for details to be released about the 2018 Pacifica before we know. When either of these will happen is anyone's guess.
