Chrysler has released a TSB describing Uconnect firmware version 17.11.07. What's different about this update is that it will be the first that I'm aware of that Chrysler will be pushing out to vehicles over the air. Interestingly, no 2017 model year vehicles are listed on the TSB, so it's unclear if this particular update will apply to the Pacifica at all.

Interesting that it includes this improvement:
Charge Complete notification is not received (RU PHEV only)
Given that the Pacifica is Chrysler's only PHEV (correct?), how can it not apply to the Pacifica? Maybe the PHEVs are getting it at the factory? This looks like a pretty big update—perhaps it's the reason for the PHEV delay?

Yeah, the RU designation is definitely the Pacifica. It sure is interesting that the models listed don't include the RU (Pacifica), but then there's an improvement listed that applies to the RU PHEV only. I would venture to guess that version 17.11.07 will be making its way to Pacificas. Whether it's pushed out over the air or available as a download to USB remains to be seen. I'm hoping it's available both ways.

All MY13-16 vehicles sold in the U.S. with the RA3 or RA4 radio can now receive software
updates “over-the-air”.

What does the "MY" stand for.

"The software is updated through the built-in cellular modem in the radio which is
connected to the Sprint® 3G network"

Won't be long before all carriers take down their 3g receiver/transmitters on their towers.

There is not an option to
decline the update indefinitely. The update must be performed.

The vehicle needs to be in the park position, or have the vehicle in neutral with parking
brake engaged if equipped with a manual transmission. The engine does not need to
be running, however, the ignition must be in the “RUN” position (On).

The second phase may take up to 50 minutes to complete.

Sucks for those that park their cars in a parking garage away from where they live or work and have to option to sit in their car for 60 minutes for an update to be installed lol.

No updates are available via the Uconnect site for my VIN.

https://www.driveuconnect.com/software-update/

I also ran the VIN of my previous 2013 Ram 1500 that had the RA3 and it does have an update available but it's from April of 2016.

Maybe this is something different??

This specific update has not been released in any form yet. It remains to be seen if they will release it via download to USB or if it will strictly be over the air. I would think that they wouldn't be able to have OTA be the ONLY option since some people may live in an area with bad Sprint coverage and OTA is not available in Canada at all.

By the way, Gohawks, MY stands for Model Year.

The Verizon 1xRTT, EvDO and 3G Networks will remain up until at least 2022, minimum. Lucky for Sprint that they roam on VZW heavily.
