Just bought a 2017 Pacifica a couple of days ago. We hopped in the the van yesterday and discovered the the LCD Uconnect screen has a distortion across the top of the screen. The time and temperature are only partially visible. Anyone else have this problem?

I took it to the dealership. They said they don't know what it is so they ordered a new infotainment system. Now I'm waiting for it to come in so that they can install it. I've been driving around for six days with it messed up. A mysterious glob is taking over the screen. Now the time isn't even visible. It seems like moisture got in there somehow. It's the limited edition with a smear!

I don't see why the dealer would replace the entire infotainment system. We don't have a normal radio in our dash, we have a "disassociated screen" on our dash. It is just an LCD & Touchscreen - the electronics box is elsewhere. I guess we can forget about aftermarket radios in the future, haha

At 16 minutes into this video the chief Chrysler Pacifica design engineer, Mike Downey discusses the disassociated screen.

This is the only photo I have. This pic shows what it looked like the first day I discovered the problem. I forgot to take a pic of it before I took it in this afternoon to get it fixed (by then it was worse--the blob had traveled to the part of the screen where it says "Hold to set" and the time was completely blacked out while the temp was distorted at top edge.

I just had a uconnect theatre screen fail last week. Display turned dark grey with many horizontal lines across the screen. Dealer has ordered replacement screen. List price for the screen is $500 so I'm glad it is under warranty. Hopefully this is an early production issue and not an ongoing problem.
