Hey all,

Has anyone here experienced both the 13 speaker and 20 speaker systems and can say whether or not it's worth the $800 for the 20 speaker system? I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the Pacifica this week and want to make sure I get the best value for the money.

I'm also making sure to only get a Pacifica built after the 9/1 build date so I get the IIHS+ Safety rating.

I'm looking at the Limited with Advanced Safety Tech, one of the above Theater packages, interior protection package (you can use the stow+go as a cooler??) and mud flaps.

Anything I should look out for? Make sure to do? I am going to get the Sam's Club incentive as well, but want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Thanks all!

Are you trying to find one on the lot or placing an order?

Hi and welcome to the forums. The home theater is going to be a tough one to answer. So far everyone that didnt get the Harman Kardon package is happy with the sound quality of the system. I personally have the Harman system and I'm also happy with it. For me the big difference is watching movies. The surround sound processor on the Harman does an amazing job of proper imaging. With that said, are you going to be watching movies primarily through the speakers or through the headphones? Most will be watching them on the headphones but our daughter is 2 and the headphones slip off her head so it's over the speakers the majority of the time. If you're going to be doing headphones I'd say save the money. Hopefully this helps. I'm sure more members will chime in with their opinion as well.

Good luck with the purchase.

I vote for the Harmon Kardon System. The sound quality for all types of audio is noticeably better with that system. If your dealer has both setups listen to them back to back with the same audio source and you will be able to tell the difference.

Thanks for all of your replies! Yeah, it's hard to find the 20 speaker system on any dealer lots in my area (well at least within 30 or so miles). I guess I'll just bite the bullet and get the 20 speaker setup...heck, van is already near $50k, what's another $800?

Appreciate all of the help!!!

I had planned on getting the 13 speaker upgrade on a Touring L, but I have to admit, when I sat in an L Plus with the 20 speaker and 760 watt amp, I was sold. I had the premium Alpine audio on my 2013 Laramie Longhorn, and this just blew it out of the water.

The 20 speaker system is one of the features I really wanted along with the 20" wheels. IMO that system sounds incredible and I am glad I got it. Ours was actually on the lot and has pretty much every option available except for tow pkg. We love this thing!!!
