WOW, this must be a glitch or something. I'm sure there will be an update. This alone would defer me from getting another PACIFICA. This is a huge deal breaker.
Good question and when you do get it, please report back your experience. The pattern seems to be that it works for a couple of days before this comes up. One thing you could test that isn't an option for me anymore... The screens seemed to work fine until I paid for the ATT Wireless service. It was the very next morning that the screens were having the problems. I am wondering if there was an Over the Air Update or something that got pushed to either the car or the screens that caused the issue. The only other thing I tried doing was using a USB Thumb Drive (maybe I should try removing it and starting the car to see what happens just to rule it out). Anecdotal at best but if your system is working off the lot, make a note of everything you can so maybe we can narrow down what causes it to happen from the dealer lot to our driveway. So is there anyone out there who is NOT having this issue on 2022? I'm picking up my car later this week or next....so wanted to mentally prepare that i'm definitely going to experience these issues right?
Got it - i can try suppressing the updates. Will the system update ONLY if you sign up for the ATT wireless service....or does it still update if you connect it to WiFI near your house when parked at home (i don't even know if the later is an option, but I'm assuming so?)Good question and when you do get it, please report back your experience. For those that have older kids, this probably wouldn't be noticed if they are old enough to control everything without you. Might be a lot more people have this issue but don't even realize it because their kids are old enough to control everything from the back seat.
We got our 2022 Pacifica Hybrid off the truck with connection issues. It would not run updates or anything. While this brought many other issues, we did not receive the “service unavailable from front screens” message until 10 months after we purchased the vehicle (when Chrysler finally fixed the connection issue). You may be on to something with your theory…So I have an update in trying to troubleshoot or come up with a work around. It struck me odd that the display was working for about a day after I got the car from the dealership. The only two things that changed is I signed up for the ATT service and I used a thumb drive to pull up our own movies. It occurred to me that perhaps the issue was an Over the Air Update that was being downloaded to the rear screens once they connected to WiFi. So I did a factory reset on the right rear screen only thinking I would just not connect it to WiFi and live without the online content till our kids were older. Well, I had forgotten that after a factory reset, the first thing the screens ask is to connect to a WiFi connection to do the setup. I went ahead and connected it to the car WiFi and just briefly up popped a message "downloading updates" for a brief moment. I had to stay connected only long enough to go through the setup process and then I turned off the WiFi. I don't know for certain if that was enough time for an update to download. Immediately after the factory reset and completed the setup process, the screen was accessible from the front again. Oddly enough, the left rear screen was ALSO accessible from the front screen even though I did NOT do a factory reset on it. We drove around for a couple of hours today with the system working just fine. Got back home and then an hour later went to head out for dinner. Climbed back into the car which by this point was completely off and when I turned the car back in, immediately the error message "service unavailable" popped up. So there is something going on when the screens are turned off completely that causes them to lose their ability to connect to the front screen. I don't know for certain but my suspicion is there is an update that the screens download while you go through the initial setup process and that doesn't activate until the car is turned off for a while and then turned on at which point the update is loaded which then causes the screens to no longer be able to connect. This is all speculation of course. If there was a way to block any updates or get around the initial setup screens that require a WiFi connection, maybe I could conclusively determine it is an update that causes the issue. I will try to do some more testing tomorrow to see what I can confirm.
This happened to me after my second trip to the dealer for firmware updates. The screens worked for a few days, then one, and then the other stopped responding to the front controls. Now I'm booked for a third dealer visit next week with two non-responsive screens. Hope you have more success. My wife is convinced it is premature to declare victory. We shall see what tomorrow brings but at least today we had one day of everything working perfectly.

I just bought my first Chrysler, a new 2023 hybrid and after a couple of days I received the same message as shown above. It’s definitely a firetv software bug.
Resetting the firetv fixes it temporarily. However, as soon as i connect to Wi-Fi, the Amazon software is updated and it only works until I shut off the car. If I don’t install the update on one screen, I am able to view the setup screen from the front screen.
A hard factory reset of uconnect does not do anything to fix it.
Chrysler was nice to call back. I updated firetv and it magically fixed it the next time I started the car. Then I turned the car off. The same problem returned upon startup.
I feel your pain, we just took possession of a 2023 Plug-In Pacifica and had the same issues of no sound when a video is started, even when we select the LISTEN button from the Rear Seat screen (under MEDIA) for either of the screens. We were able to get the sound to play by switching to the Sources screen and select "Listen-In-RSE-2" or for RSE1 (see attached picture). Note that even though the Listen-In-RSE-2 icon was selected, had to press it again for it to work. While we can manually start a video playing from the rear screen (and then manually mirror the other screen to the first) there was no sound to be had.
Everything else about the van has been steller but this has ruined our new car excitement for sure. Thanks Chrysler! NOT....
