Has this happened to anyone else? Within the last week or thereabouts, the heated seat and heated steering wheel functions on our 2019 changed their "off" settings. The settings went from staying turned "on" after the ignition was turned off to turning "off" when the ignition was turned off. (All this means is that we now have to use the touch screen to turn them back on when the car is restarted. It DOES NOT mean that old setting left the heated seats & wheel burning up battery power when the car was turned off.)

We discovered this early one morning during a recent cold snap. (It doesn't really get cold here, just chilly.)

My wife tells me that this is not related to a U-Connect update. She seldom lets me drive the car, so I have no idea what she's talking about when she mentioned the U-Connect stuff. The heated seat matter is something I understand because I can actually turn mine on and off as a passenger. Jeez, I miss the 2007 T&C, but it didn't have heated seats or a backup camera.

Maybe the option in the settings for it to auto-turn on the heated steering wheel/seats and ventilated seats depending on outside temps got turned off?

If I remember it is under the comfort settings. Been almost 2 years since I had Uconnect 4.

Check your UConnect (Auto-On Comfort) settings. You can set the heated seats and steering wheel to stay off, turn on with remote start only, or turn on with all starts. It appears to have been turned off at some point.

Mine are set with the outside temperature. I believe >40°F they come on automatically.

I asked my wife, who drives the car 99.87% of the time to respond to the forum and to Chrysler Cares. She's a member here, but hasn't responded yet. What she tells me is that this may be a normal situation. There is evidently a setting in which the heated seats and steering wheel default to an "automatic on" at a certain low temperature. In theory, that certain low temperature can be programmed. Either she doesn't know how, or didn't explain it to me.

I am reaching a point where I am willing to dedicate an entire ream of paper and a full toner cartridge to print a hard copy of the owners manual to place into a three-ring notebook so I can actually look stuff up myself.

But there are some new gremlins that appeared yesterday. Look for them in in a new entry called "doors found open in the mornings."

My 2018 one has heated seats and I believe the auto on temperature is 40 degrees and can not be changed. Also only the drivers seat gets the passenger seat has to be turned on manually.
40 degrees makes sense. Thank you. The morning where we noticed it was one of the few this year that has been in the 30s. Thinking back on it, I was the passenger and my seat had to be turned on manually. That also makes sense.

When 1/3 of the year is over 100F, cold weather is a relative matter.
