I have a 2018 and put in a 2022 head unit. As part of that I also swapped out the media ports for the set that came that year that included 2 USB-C and 2 USB-A. The connector is the same for the media hub, not sure if the new ones would work with the old head unit or not.

 

They should work, they just won't add features.
