Hello. Like (probably) most of you, my 2019 Pacifica Hybrid is subject to two recalls ... ve2 and < 64-w > (which I wrote backwards because I do not want this post to be caught while searching for it). This question is about ve2.
I have a story to tell and I am wondering how many of you had similar experiences. I recently took my vehicle in to get the W check done and I asked to have the ve2 done at the same time. The W check came out good and they did not need to keep my car, but they told me that my radio was already up to date and there was nothing to do. Hmm ...
So now, I get a notice that the W fix is ready and another notice that I need ve2. I decided to do some research. I found a URL that showed the ve2 instructions, including how to check your radio application version (hold the bottom two corners of the screen to enter dealer mode). The posting said that the ve2 version would be 28.4 or higher. My radio says 22.5. Obviously not high enough. However, the update check says your radio is up to date.
I will be making an appointment for the W fix and I intend to show my research to the dealer and we shall see what happens.
Now, the question of the day - I read a while back that the ve2 fix had some baggage of its own. Somehow, it may have caused the 12v battery to drain even when the vehicle was shut off. How many of you have completed the ve2 fix and have you had any problems? Has Chrysler come up with a fix for the fix ?
Thanks for reading this far. This car has been, and continues to be a great car. The fuel economy is superb for as big a vehicle as it is and I can carry almost everything that I need to.
