Why does the message always come up while driving? "put vehicle in park to open rear doors"
Welcome to the forum. If you put your van info (year, trim, gas/hybrid, etc.) in the signature line of the UserCP it will show up at the bottom of each post.

You have to be in "park" for power doors to work. It is a safety feature. Is someone pushing (or kicking) the power door button while you are driving? My teenager accidentally pushed the power sliding door button a few months ago while I was driving. I could smile about it then since I knew why I got the message and was happy the door didn't open on the round about. If no one is in the back, then the van might need checked.

Hi ladnar5029,
We recommend having your dealer look into this for you. If you would like any additional assistance, please feel free to send us a private message and we'll be happy to help!

Do you have the hands-free sliding door feature? Maybe it's falsely detecting that you're trying to open the door by kicking under the sensor. I once stopped for gas in winter, with snow and ice crusted under the car, and the sliding door kept starting to open, stopping itself because the fuel flap was in the way, and re-closing. I assumed it was due to snow and ice somehow triggering the kick sensor.
