What all those Symbols on your Dashboard mean...

It's only a matter of time till some of us start seeing various symbols/warnings/indicators illuminated on our dashboard and to be honest sometimes it's not easy to guess what they are. So, to make life easier, here's a cheat sheet showing all the 2017 Pacifica dashboard symbols and what they mean:

Gotta print this out and hand it to wifey to study. I hate receiving a phone call because the gauges are "yelling" at her or the car's "excited" (parking brake light) :|

Or just save the image to your phone, just about any smartphone and browser for those smartphones should allow to have the ability to do that. Will make questioning someone at the dealer much easier, rather than trying to describe it's shape and how it looks overall.

With the amount of selfies she takes, it'll get lost in the mess of photos and she most definitely won't find it. Should print it out and stick it to the vanity mirror..

According to a card I found in my glove box, there's an Icon and Symbol glossary right in the radio (in the user guide). I haven't confirmed that yet, but it appears they are pretty proud of that built-in user guide and they also state that it automatically updates as required.

That's actually really interesting. But definitely a smart move. Innovative and people will be more prone to using that instead of whipping out the manual and treading through pages and pages.

Great that manufacturers are finally realizing that not everyone reads and memorizes the manual.

You'll just have to memorize a few of the more common ones and save the icon glossary for when one of those rare unrecognizable symbols pop up. The sliding doors and tailgate symbols will probably be the more common ones you see.

This icon sheet seems not complete. I cannot find the symbol show on trip info display on this sheet. Such as the trapezoid, the circle with white sector, the one similar to electronic speed control but without the outside arrow...
