I have a 2017 Pacifica Limited, fully loaded, delivered 11/8/2016. There is a button to the immediate right of the headlight and interior light dials under the left air vents; driver side. That button has a phone symbol and a blue blinking light.

This button is undocumented, and my sales guy couldn't tell me what it does, other than it seems to be new and may have something to do with my phone. I tried calling UConnect but the customer service couldn't tell me what it does either.

My iPhone is already paired with the car but pressing that button does not seem to have any effect. Any ideas?!!

Hi netaddict. Welcome to the forum! It sounds like your Pacifica was optioned with the Mopar Electronic Vehicle Tracking System.

Does your button look like THIS?

Ah, I see. Unfortunately for the cost, no thanks. I can't remember if there is a free trial for a year.


generaltso, it looks like I have the same car with different color. My only complaint now is the lack of Park & automatically unlock, I hope they put that into a Uconnect upgrade soon.

Yeah, I never really saw much value in it. Especially on the Pacifica, which already has GPS tracking through the Uconnect app.

My only complaint now is the lack of Park & automatically unlock, I hope they put that into a Uconnect upgrade soon.

That drove me nuts as well, so I had my dealer disable Auto Door Locks entirely. That was an option in the Uconnect menu on earlier builds, but it was removed sometime around 9/1, so now the dealer has to do it.
