I am leaning towards having my limited ordered because I need 8 seats and not interested in uconnect. Have seen anywhere between 11% and 20% off MSRP on this and other boards. What have others gotten when ordered from the factory? Thanks for your help!

I think invoice price minus half the holdback is a good target. Then deduct Chrysler incentives from there.

The holdback on the Pacifica is 3%, so half that would be 1.5%. Several people have reported doing better, but I think those were mostly vehicles on the lot.

When all was said and done, I ended up at about $6500 below MSRP for a special order Limited. That was about 13%.

Is there a way to figure out what the dealer holdback is? I have the config I want on Chrysler.com. Trying to determine what my price should be. Thanks

Hi Ronash. I believe the post by General TSO right below your post answers your question. Good luck with your purchase.

Correct. The holdback is 3% of MSRP (not including $995 destination fee).

Best price on a Limited

I wish my local dealer would do such a deal. All they want to offer me is incentives deducted from the MSRP. I am in New Mexico, with no "volume dealers". Looking in Arizona and Colorado!
I'm in Northern Virginia and I shopped many many Chrysler dealers. Did Truecar pricing through AAA and didn't get enough off. And, every Truecar dealer gave me a different price. I got close with the small dealer near me, but the price was still higher than I was willing to pay and he refused to negotiate any lower. To give him credit he did give me a decent no haggle price that I was thinking about. But, I was determined to find a better price. Then I tried Edmunds.com and ended up being contacted by a different dealer who with all their various discounts and rebates got me to just over 21% off MSRP + dealer processing of $689 (I hate paying that) tax & title. If the Chrysler financial rebate is still available when it is delivered I'll get that off the price too making it a 22.5% discount.

The salesman negotiated the price with me over the phone and confirmed the price by email. Since I had already scoured the internet dealer sites and I could not find the configuration I wanted on a dealer's lot anywhere close to me they had to order one for me. I went into their dealership on 2/28 expecting a bait and switch and was surprised that I walked out of there at the price he quoted me. The only hiccup was that they wanted a non-refundable $1000 deposit. I had to negotiate that to make it conditional on no price increases or the vehicle being received with damages. I want the vehicle but I will not accept a new vehicle they have to repair.

Well that's the possible discounts you have the potential to get and maybe you need to expand your search range.

Remember that discounts evolve as a focus is put on a general brand. Such as Jeep getting discounts and loyalty rebates for already owning one. The Caravan has a loyalty program. There has been a truck loyalty program for more than 5 years. The loyalty program gives a $1500 after tax rebate. Join that with 0% finance for 84 months. Not bad. The other discounts will be just how competitive dealers are. Just how much between MSRP and invoice will the dealer drop? Holdback is 700 flat (mostly). It might not be there if the van was a transfer. Fleet discount is currently at $2500 off. The 0% rate is replaced with a 3.99 rate if the fleet is taken. Works good for cash deals.

My experience is in Canadian discounts and rebates. So all my advice isn't all that applicable for this. Things do seem difficult to shop down there. Edmunds and Truecar and such. Splitting Holdback is weird sounding. It can be a tool for solving uneven trades where you give it up, letting the other dealer to spend it on interest from floor plans for holding the van for awhile without a sale.

Yes, but that was a while ago. I think there are more incentives available now, and dealers seem a little more willing to offer bigger discounts.

Just landed a deal for a limited at 15.8% off MSRP. 6hrs from where I live. flying there in the morning. Closest dealer that has a loaded limited with 8 passenger seating was over 3hrs away. Their discount was not half of the dealer I am purchasing from in the morning.

Just ordered tonight (Woohoo!!!) for 16% off MSRP.

We got a billet silver Limited with:
Advanced Tec Package
Tire and Wheel Group
UConnect Theater and Sound
Tow Package

MSRP $50,770
Sale Price $43,652
Less $1000 Sam's Club
= $42,652

They included $2000 in rebates (the ones available to all, no conquest, etc.), and a written guarantee that they will honor this price when the car arrives, even if the incentives go down. If the incentives go UP when the car arrives, then we get an even better deal.

Now the waiting game...

How long is it taking from time of order for you guys? We are in WA State

Some of these deals are awesome. I don't think dealers in S. FL. are willing to work with individuals in the 15-20% off MSRP range etc. if anyone knows of any dealers/salespeople in the area ... even Tampa/Orlando, **** anywhere in Florida that is willing to deal (really deal not play games). I am all eyes/ears.
