My new Pacifica came with wheel locks? I haven't used wheel locks in years. Do all of these come with wheel locks or is this something that the dealer did?
I believe they only come with the 20" wheels. Mine are in a drawer in the garage.

Can you please define "Wheel locks"? I assume you are not referring to the one coded lug nut on each wheel?
I have 20" wheels on my Limited, but I am not sure what you are referring to.

Thanks

Yes, it's one special lug nut per wheel that requires a keyed socket to install and remove.

I have had these on all my Dodge vehicles for the last 10 years. Why would you not install them? They won't prevent your wheels from being stolen in the kitchen draw, and they make absolutely no difference to wheel changing, either by you or the dealer. Good, free insurance I would say.

Wheel theft is not a thing near me. I'm not concerned about it in the slightest. I'd rather not have to worry about finding the key every time I swap my wheels.

A lot of dealers do install these so they can use it as a line item money maker... $20 set of wheel locks? That'll be $75 for your wheel protection package sir!

Every car on the lot at my dealer had them.

Ok, so did everybody get wheel locks at some trim levels? Our new PacHy has them and I didn't think they were supposed to be included. Maybe it's just for the PacHy's?

I actually don't like or want these pain in the as nuts. Anybody know the part number for the regular nuts? Can't find them. Closest I have found is: wheel nut M12x1.5 Part Number: 06509769AA but I don't think that's right.

My local dealer gave me the speech that he puts wheel locks on all cars. He said that he had one customer who refused the locks and woke up the day after he bought the car with it sitting on the rotors. He said between the damage done when they dropped it, when it was dragged onto the rollback and the cost of the wheels, the total claim was in the thousands! That story gives me heartburn. I really, really have to suspect an insider at the dealership. We also live in an area that I wouldn't expect wheel thefts. But, more importantly, people who do that stuff typically scope out the vehicle one night and come back another. The first night sounds really suspicious!

Either way, I will NOT pay extra for them. Since the dealer installed them, you can bet he has a bucket full of the OEM lug nuts. At the least, he should be willing to provide the 4 original nuts and allow the owner to change at their discretion.

This kind of stuff is what makes me detest this entire process and want to just keep driving my '09 T&C.
