Can I replace the cloth wheel well liners on my 2019 Pacifica Sport with a different type of liners?

They are made of fiber , they are there for various reasons . Why the concern about replacing them ?

Post some pics, there’s a def reason why they are blushing . They absorb water like a sponge but they shouldn’t be swelling out to initiate tire contact
