If your van's nose "dives" excessively under braking, or feels like the rear brakes are not fully engaging, or if the brake pedal firms-up with a quick/light "double-tap" - try adjusting the electronic parking brake to help maintain (or restore) a firm brake pedal (and F/R brake proportioning).

When brakes are cold, cycle the electronic parking brake through service mode (via the Uconnect menus).
This retracts the rear brake pads (for servicing) - then reset - this tightens/adjusts any slack in the linkage from pad wear.

Apps>Settings>Brakes>Service Mode

Takes less than a minute. Enjoy.

What happens when the service mode won't turn off. I have my driver side rear brake wond retract. I believe the piston is shot. But not sure. It will retract by pressure and not by turning. I know when I changed my pads that it did this as well. But I never thought anything of it until yesterday when I turned the ebrake on by accident. And the ebrake wouldn't turn off. I had to take the whole rotor and brake system off the boot to get the thing to let go of the rotor. This was the only way to get the piston to let go of the rotor. When I tried to disengage the service part by pushing the brake and hitting the button for the ebrake. The motor would just run and run for 20-30 seconds.

I have the same problem. I did not know to put it in service mode when I changed pads and rotors and then did it while the caliper was hanging loose and instead of retracting it pushed the piston out extremely far and now it locks up if you push the parking brake button or if the computer tries to test the brakes. I have to disconnect the battery to reset the parking brake. A dealer tech told me that the brakes might need to be recalibrated. I assume I need their computer system to do this and it can’t be done from the car.
