How do I get the DVD player to work? I can’t find any information. I found a 2021 video that says to click the movie ticket button and I don’t have it. Nothing pops up when I put a dvd in.

I have found that not only does the Bluray player not work in the 2022 Pacifica. I have less than 100 miles and this feature was the main reason I opted for the $4000 upgrade to theater group. There's no documentation anywhere regarding the bluray not showing as a source option, chrysler says they are aware of it, but have not notified the dealerships or their customer service agents. The Dealer said they were supposed to be getting a "Star Online Publication" coming out in the next couple days that will explain the fix for the concern and time frame.

I have also been unsuccessful in playing MP4 movies from USB, which I wonder is a related or separate issue. Anyone else with a 2022 have better luck?

I have not been impressed with the FireTV, as the wifi connection is very slow with alot of lag time in menus. I also can't get them connected to another wifi hotpsot (that is faster and has unlimited data). Anyone have better success or suggestions?

We just picked up our 2022 Pacifica Limited AWD. The FireTV interface is extremely slow and often freezes or goes back to the home page. Our DVD/Blu-ray is also missing from the sources list. At this point, we’ll have to use an iPad with downloaded movies and buy the HDMI adapter. We had a 2017 Pacifica before this and it worked much better. Hoping they can fix it with a software update.

I was able to connect my 2022 Pinnacle FireTV to my phone hotspot (only when your phone is not connected to CarPlay for which I had to go to my phone bluetooth settings --> select pacifica --> disable CarPlay).

Also you can connect your fireTV to home Wifi (when parked in your garage & you have the wifi reachability) and download offline videos (that gets stored in the car's FireTV) that can be watched later while on the move.
Couple of issues I observed are, at times when trying to watch the offline/downloaded videos,
  • the FireTV needs to connect to hotspot to authenticate the login
  • after login, when we try to play the downloaded videos, it fails to play reporting some license error.

How do you download on the TV in the vans from netflix we couldn't find that opinion.

There are several split posts regarding this issue, to help assist and let others know you are not alone, I am posting this on multiple threads with same questions.

This issue is affecting every 2022 Pacifica that has the BluRay player equipped.

Umm... we may need a class-action lawsuit if they don't fix soon...(that usually gets their attention).

I have an open ticket for this specific issue with Chrysler customer cares, but they have not called me back in the timeframe they said (48 hours).
To help, please call Chrysler Customer Cares and open a ticket. The more calls and complaints they have, the quicker they will fix it.

Call 1-800-992-1997. Please report your findings if they come up with any information.

If anyone discovers a fix in the meantime, please post to let others know, and hopefully we can get a sticky.

No fix here: issue after issue. Fire TV comes up very blurry and jumpy. No DVD option, even though there is a DVD player. Can't access any of the providers.
So far, aside from the minivan being super comfortable, this purchase is a real disappointment.

Just got our 2022 Pacifica Hybrid with the Uconnect Theatre and I’m not impressed. The Limited trim does not have a physical DVD player. I guess it wouldn’t have worked anyways. That would have been very disappointing. The FireTV will not stay connected to my home Wifi. I can only use my cell as a hotspot to do anything. Furthermore, you can only download media to the Amazon apps. Not an option for Netflix or Disneyplus. So what’s the point? Now I’m in the process of trying the MP4 on a USB option. Hopefully it works.

Just encountered this problem on my new 2022 Pacifica (purchased Feb 26, 2022). No DVD/Blueray function. No source option to choose it from the 'Rear Seat' source option menu. No support for the external USB stick movie either. Nothing seems to work related to the DVD unit (which has the USB plug). Very unhappy with this 100% broken feature. Will keep searching these forum.

Go to each individual Amazon fire tv and perform the factory reset. Push the options button on your remote, the go to system. You'll find it. After that, the DVD player magically appears!!!!! Yes!!!!! Thanks to another thread on this site, I just fixed mine an hour ago.

I did factory reset on the left screen and can now select dvd as a source directly on that FireTV.

I can’t select it from the radio screen though. Is it the same for you all?

Also, the FireTV remote control does not work in the dvd menu (the menu that every dvd has where you can select « start » or « change language »). I need to pop a software-remote on the screen and then click on its buttons with my fingers.

Did you ever get the uconnect remotes to work with the BluRay disc menu? We will pop the movie in go through all the previews then we can not hit "Play Movie" when the disc menu pops up to watch the actual movie. Seems to only want to control the Amazon portion of the uconnect system

Well…this is not a universal fix. We bought a 2022 Pacifica Touring L with the U Connect Package. I reset both FireTVs. After reset, the left TV let me have the “BluRay” option (NOT DVD…is this normal?) from BOTH the Main display and Left TV. The right screen doesn’t have that option and now the Main display cannot connect to the Right TV and can’t see what that right screen is displaying. I’ve now since shut the car off angry and then went back a half hour later, the Left TV doesn’t have that BluRay option any longer. So now I’m back where I started except my Right TV is completely F’d. Bought this van to drive to Florida next week with the DVD players. Now we don’t even have that.

Can y’all send pics of the screens of what the menu looks like when it is working with the bluray/dvd player? My pacifica is at the dealer and want to be confident I can reproduce to make it work. Can you verify what version of software is running? Is it with the OTA update? Also a screenshot of the front main console screen showing the bluray as an option would also be welcome. Is it selected just thru the firetv or can be selected by front console?

I bought a 2021 Pacifica with the U Connect 5 system in the Theater Group package. It would not play any media inserted, Bluerays, DVD's, and audio CD's all useless. I tried loaded music on a usb drive, no luck there either. Neither the dealer or FCA could help. I have been a loyal Chrysler customer since the 1970's. I am shocked and appalled that you can pay nearly 50,000 dollars for something that doesn't work and no one knows how to fix. Engineers can get a rocket to turn around in mid air and land safely, but no one can get a media player to work in a car? I sold that one back to the dealer and ordered a 2022. Guess what? Same issue. The system doesn't even recognize the media player as an input source. Maybe it's time for me to try another brand. I'm very frustrated by this. Chrysler should acknowledge their mistake, and inform the public. It's not the fault of the dealerships, it's the product. They should refund the cost of the theater group to buyers. I am seriously angry with the current management of this once great company. What a shame Stellantis!

Hi All: 2022 Pinnacle Hybrid. So did the "reset to factory settings" on the FireTVs and can now see/play from the Blu Ray (hooray!). Still having issues "Listening In" - cannot seem to get any media audio to the car speakers. Has anyone figured this issue out, or is this something that is coming in the over the air update from Chrysler Q1? We have an appointment with Dealership to look into it and sales person is looking into it, but very frustrating....

Give us an update in a few days or a week it the Blu-ray continues to work. So far, most people have said it's only a temporary fix. I'm short on data this month, so I can't factory reset and reload Amazon FireTV this month to try it.

I can say that the recent Uconnect update to FCA-MY22.S24.18-PROD is very buggy. The display just crashed and took 5 min to restart while driving this morning.

I still haven't received an update on my 2022 Pinnacle....and I haven't received any updates since purchasing the vehicle in March. With the most recent update, can you view anything or control anything from the main screen? I'm confused my some vehicles are receiving updates while others are not....

What software version are you running? Go to Vehicles -> Settings. Scroll down through the list until you find Information or something like that. Then you can check the top option, System version info, I think, to see the Uconnect build #. Mine is FCA-MY22.S24.18-PROD and it became available to me on 5/24/2022.

I have not tried the Entertainment system since the latest update. Given that it crashed and rebooted within 2 days ( 1 hr's elapsed driving time ), I don't have high hopes for it. With the previous version, FCA-MY22.S23.13-PROD, I could see the initial startup screens of the Amazon FireTVs, but since they won't recognize a DVD/Blu-ray disc and I don't have enough data to reset and reload/configure Amazon FireTV for each screen and then stream something, I don't know if it still works or not. I've not been able to control the screens from the front, other than to turn them off. They're a complete waste of time in my opinion and I'll probably NEVER end up using them. Maybe once I get a house where I can get wi-fi in the garage I'll try to reset them and test again, but I'm not wasting my cellular data when they likely won't work any better than they (don't) work today.

I found a section in the Radio Manual that said "Routinely check www.driveuconnect.com to learn about available Uconnect software updates. It's pretty lame. I entered my VIN and it said I'm up to date. No indication of what the most recent version is, so I'm assuming they're tracking what version is downloaded. God forbid the Dealer reloads it with an older version and then it won't update back because they think it has the latest.

I just received back my 2022 Pacifica Touring, it was at the Dealership being "fixed" for 5 months.
I need to check the versions, but I can attest everything was working as of Monday.

A few troubleshooting tips and best practices:
To listen to audio from one of the rear screens, you click on the "Listen" that is Blue when not activated, then it turns Black when activated (Kind of silly color choice but they didin't ask me)
There is now an icon on the front screen that says "Bluray" clicking on it basically just pulls up the FireTV and attempts to launch the disc, but the menu (or should I say "MENUS") are a 0 of 10 in design. The remote for the Amazon TV is next to worthless as the play, start, fastforward buttons do not work. To get the disc to play, you must select a small icon on the side then choose the icon that looks like a remote, and then click (ok) for it to work, and the soft remote on the screen is constantly in the way (did I mention it is a really bad design?).

After successfully getting a disc to play, I also attempted to play MP4 content on it. This functionality actually works ALOT better. Plug USB with MP4 or similar videos in the front console labelled "Rear USB". On the front screens, you won't be able to access the screens until someone chooses a profile (so go to the unit, choose profile, and then scroll to where you see a button that says "media". The car has to be on for all of these steps and it can take some time for the USB media to be recognized on the back screen, if it says no content, wait a bit longer and try again. Once it does, its interface is much better where you can choose what video you want to watch and can use top level folders to sort your content. Makes it easy to switch if you have toddlers that can't change things themselves.

I have decided it is better to simply convert any DVDs to MP4 and have an offline library that can be played vs trying to have alot of bluray and dvds to sort thru in the Van which are very difficult to play still at this time.

Note: You do NOT need AT&T or Onboard Wifi for this content to work. I have read a few places where when they had the onboard wifi going, they were having intermittent connectivity issues. I can not confirm or deny as we do not subscribe for this service and since my van was "in the shop" for 5 months, they used up all of the Free service a long time ago. I also confirmed you can connect your phone wifi hotspot directly to one of the FireTVs to download content, I have not attempted to stream or stream on the road with this setup yet.

Hoping some of this is useful, but the biggest part is the FireTVs and am starting to think we should be yelling at Amazon if it still isn't working as everything was pawned off on them. Chrysler literally just made a button that just goes back to the FireTV and called it Bluray, it is not separate. Although.. there should be a separate remote for the Bluray which would definitely solve terrible user interfaces to control it through software..

We have a real trip coming within the next few weeks and will get to test this out in Real World conditions, hopefully all goes well. 🤞

Our dvd/blu-Ray option is also missing from the sources list. I bought my van in January and noticed it so I opened a ticket. I brought in the van and they said they were ordering parts. They called a couple months later and said it's a software update that they're working on that'll be released at some point. Still haven't heard anything. I have a gut feeling that with the chip shortage, they pushed the vehicles out without all the chips.

I think it's a software update. People have said that they can "factory reset" the Fire TVs and they work for a while. There's some "STAR" tech note or something like that (S2208000030 - Rev B) that instructs Service Advisors and Techs to NOT replace the Video Routing Module (VRM). However the FireTV software version listed is not correct, it is a version newer than PS7245/2693. I have version 2693 and it still doesn't work. They're telling me to update my version to the next newer one but I don't have enough data at the end of a month to download FireTV twice and being in an apartment, I can't get wifi to the parking lot. I don't care enough to do it on my own. I'll probably wait for my next oil change and make the dealer do it at the same time.

They've also updated the Uconnect software twice since I've had my Limited and each update gets worse. The most current one, FCA-MY22.S24.18-PROD, has crashed 3 times since being installed on May 24. I'm told they're skipping the S25 release and going to release S26 in July. You know it's a buggy piece of **** if they decide not to release it.

The days of seeing 10, 15, 20+ yr old cars on the road are history. This new electronics stuff can't keep up w/ updates to the software. And don't get me started on EV's and the cost of replacing the battery back after 5-10 yrs. It costs more than the car is worth.

I was able to reset the left screen to get the Bluray/DVD Source and it played however I can't get the sound go to through the vehicle sound system.

I'm guessing that's a separate 'issue' between the head unit not talking to the rear FireTV's properly?
