I just received back my 2022 Pacifica Touring, it was at the Dealership being "fixed" for 5 months.
I need to check the versions, but I can attest everything was working as of Monday.

A few troubleshooting tips and best practices:
To listen to audio from one of the rear screens, you click on the "Listen" that is Blue when not activated, then it turns Black when activated (Kind of silly color choice but they didin't ask me)
There is now an icon on the front screen that says "Bluray" clicking on it basically just pulls up the FireTV and attempts to launch the disc, but the menu (or should I say "MENUS") are a 0 of 10 in design. The remote for the Amazon TV is next to worthless as the play, start, fastforward buttons do not work. To get the disc to play, you must select a small icon on the side then choose the icon that looks like a remote, and then click (ok) for it to work, and the soft remote on the screen is constantly in the way (did I mention it is a really bad design?).

After successfully getting a disc to play, I also attempted to play MP4 content on it. This functionality actually works ALOT better. Plug USB with MP4 or similar videos in the front console labelled "Rear USB". On the front screens, you won't be able to access the screens until someone chooses a profile (so go to the unit, choose profile, and then scroll to where you see a button that says "media". The car has to be on for all of these steps and it can take some time for the USB media to be recognized on the back screen, if it says no content, wait a bit longer and try again. Once it does, its interface is much better where you can choose what video you want to watch and can use top level folders to sort your content. Makes it easy to switch if you have toddlers that can't change things themselves.

I have decided it is better to simply convert any DVDs to MP4 and have an offline library that can be played vs trying to have alot of bluray and dvds to sort thru in the Van which are very difficult to play still at this time.

Note: You do NOT need AT&T or Onboard Wifi for this content to work. I have read a few places where when they had the onboard wifi going, they were having intermittent connectivity issues. I can not confirm or deny as we do not subscribe for this service and since my van was "in the shop" for 5 months, they used up all of the Free service a long time ago. I also confirmed you can connect your phone wifi hotspot directly to one of the FireTVs to download content, I have not attempted to stream or stream on the road with this setup yet.

Hoping some of this is useful, but the biggest part is the FireTVs and am starting to think we should be yelling at Amazon if it still isn't working as everything was pawned off on them. Chrysler literally just made a button that just goes back to the FireTV and called it Bluray, it is not separate. Although.. there should be a separate remote for the Bluray which would definitely solve terrible user interfaces to control it through software..

We have a real trip coming within the next few weeks and will get to test this out in Real World conditions, hopefully all goes well. 🤞

How do I get the DVD player to work? I can’t find any information. I found a 2021 video that says to click the movie ticket button and I don’t have it. Nothing pops up when I put a dvd in.
We just picked up our 2022 Pacifica Limited AWD. The FireTV interface is extremely slow and often freezes or goes back to the home page. Our DVD/Blu-ray is also missing from the sources list. At this point, we’ll have to use an iPad with downloaded movies and buy the HDMI adapter. We had a 2017 Pacifica before this and it worked much better. Hoping they can fix it with a software update.
Our dvd/blu-Ray option is also missing from the sources list. I bought my van in January and noticed it so I opened a ticket. I brought in the van and they said they were ordering parts. They called a couple months later and said it's a software update that they're working on that'll be released at some point. Still haven't heard anything. I have a gut feeling that with the chip shortage, they pushed the vehicles out without all the chips.

I think it's a software update. People have said that they can "factory reset" the Fire TVs and they work for a while. There's some "STAR" tech note or something like that (S2208000030 - Rev B) that instructs Service Advisors and Techs to NOT replace the Video Routing Module (VRM). However the FireTV software version listed is not correct, it is a version newer than PS7245/2693. I have version 2693 and it still doesn't work. They're telling me to update my version to the next newer one but I don't have enough data at the end of a month to download FireTV twice and being in an apartment, I can't get wifi to the parking lot. I don't care enough to do it on my own. I'll probably wait for my next oil change and make the dealer do it at the same time.

They've also updated the Uconnect software twice since I've had my Limited and each update gets worse. The most current one, FCA-MY22.S24.18-PROD, has crashed 3 times since being installed on May 24. I'm told they're skipping the S25 release and going to release S26 in July. You know it's a buggy piece of **** if they decide not to release it.

The days of seeing 10, 15, 20+ yr old cars on the road are history. This new electronics stuff can't keep up w/ updates to the software. And don't get me started on EV's and the cost of replacing the battery back after 5-10 yrs. It costs more than the car is worth.

I was able to reset the left screen to get the Bluray/DVD Source and it played however I can't get the sound go to through the vehicle sound system.

I'm guessing that's a separate 'issue' between the head unit not talking to the rear FireTV's properly?

'22 AWD Limited S here with UConnect Build Number: FCA-MY22.S21D.5-PROD - Factory reset on each FireTV worked for me to get DVD/BluRay working. Workflow to play something is not great - from a FireTV you select "Pacifica" from the Apps then scroll down two sections where BluRay is listed. You can choose to repeat the selection on the other FireTV or you can mirror the display, as shown in this pic. Good luck to all here trying to untangle this one.

Thanks for sharing this image, I'm also in the same circumstance trying to get it going. I did get to the spot you see once. I'm not sure I can replicate it again.

Here's a pic heavy walkthrough.

From the center/front screen, You can play a DVD/BlueRay indirectly using one/both of the rear screens. I use the remote for one of the rear screens in this demo. AFAIK it isn't possible to watch/load a DVD/BluRay directly from the center screen without involving one of the rear screens.

From the front screen, select "Media" then "Rear Seat" - this will bring up a view of the two rear screens. If you don't see your screens here, you can factory reset the FireTVs individually and in my experience they will show up. Notice the buggy software here, where one screen has the factory default name 'Left TV" and the other which is named "Right TV" shows up as "UNDEFINED"

Touch the screen or the arrow in the box icon [ ->] to maximize the view (this step isn't necessary but it helps w/ the pics)

Using the remote for the screen that's maximized, press the home button, then select "Pacifica" then select "Inputs" then select "Blu-ray" You can try to touch the center screen and have the taps register on the rear screen, sometimes this works, but the touch interface is limited on the FireTV so it's easier to use the remote.

The disc in the DVD/BlueRay drive will load/play (you did remember to put one in already right? 🙃)

You can listen to the content on the cabin speakers by tapping the word "Listen" - Bold blue font indicates INACTIVE, regular black font indicates ACTIVE - IMO this is an example of a suboptimal design or a bug - the colors/fonts should be switched. In this pic we're viewing "Left TV" but the color/font makes it seem like we're viewing the Right/UNDEFINED one. This bold blue = active selection design is not consistent across other menus e.g., bold/blue in "Media" "Sources" and FireTV sources indicates active. @ChryslerCares is this an intentional design quirk?

You can also select the sound via the "Sources" section of "Media" by tapping "Listen in RSE #" - this also works to play the DVD/Bluray audio when the rear screens are off sort like like a CD.

Repeat the above on the other FireTV screen to select the DVD/BluRay input to watch the same content, or use the mirror/view other screen option in the "Launch Source" menu. Note: the "Launch Source" or "Browse Media" options DO NOT SHOW the DVD/BluRay another suboptimal design quirk.

Hope this walkthrough helps, but I hope that there's a software upgrade coming soon to smooth out this bumpy user experience. I don't anticipate my non-tech/impatient family members will tolerate 10+ buggy steps to watch a movie.

Thanks for this walk-through. May do one similar to show how to get MP4 videos to play off the front USB!

Slightly off-topic, but it looks like you have a very similar model.. I noticed the driver's seat with the Leather/Pleather seems to be wearing pretty quickly and mine only has 200 miles total on it... (starting to see small white "specks" that increase when I barely brush my hand on it) Have you noticed this as well? So far only front driver's seat have I noticed this.

@PacVanLife - That's a great walk through. I didn't realize that the Bluray source is under Pacifica. That may be all I needed.

@2022Pacifica_NoBluRay - I've noticed the white specks on both my front seats, almost from day 2. I've never had vented seats. I assumed it was the cooling fans blowing loose seat material out and that it would eventually go away. I haven't noticed it on the rear seats, but no one rides back here much anyway.

I've done this many times, had all 3 screens going, and then shut the car off only to have it not be there the next time I start the van. Please update us if your effort stays longer than a few days. I have been avoiding resetting the rear screens again because my kids have played several games and have passed many levels, and I don't want to loose them. As noted on other forums, I've seen it appear the dissappear right in front of my eyes as I go to select it. I am confident it's poor signal strength and more than any software can fix, unless there is a small chance of just signal delay timing on when things turn in. I am going to talk with the technician again at the dealer next week and will update the post if we figure anything out.

So I went on a road trip (a bit over 1000 miles) and this is what I learned:

The NO SOUND issue: Interestingly, this can be when you first start the van, or when you are driving down the road and suddenly lose sound. Good news is you don't have to reset everything (which would definitely be problematic while driving) to get sound to work again. After making sure the sound is activated (not muted, shows Black (which is backwards imho) that indicates it is the source to be listening to when on the Rear Seat Screens
A. Try this first: On the front console, choose "MEDIA" -"Sources" and reselect the Source RSE1 or RSE2.
B. If that doesn't work, choose a different source, then reselect the source again.
C. Still not working? This is more specific for USB videos: Go to the screen you are attempting to play, choose USB Video, scroll down to reselect video. This sometimes does the trick as well.

USB 3.0 128 GB Fat32 Works with MP4 videos. Until proven otherwise, I recommend a USB 3.0 drive for fastest transfer rate but retains compatibility. If you find a higher transfer that maintains compatibility, please let me know!

Specific model I am using: SanDisk 128GB Flair 3.0

Hope this helps.

We just got our Pacifica. Having same problems all of you did still in July. Will try the dvd fix. Also sometimes one screen will connect to fire tv and the other says no internet. How is that possible when the car is the hot spot? Bought this for the theatre system and it seems to be a major headache so far,

Yes, each screen is independent on connections to the internet. If you wanted to (and I have had just to try it) you can connect one to the house wifi, one to the onboard wifi, or one to the onboard and one to a mobile phone turned Hotspot.
thanks for your answer. It was driving us crazy. I did try the factory reset someone else mentioned and the blueray players were working yesterday and the internet was doing better also. Hopefully it will last..

Reset works for me to get BluRay back as a source, but it usually only lasts a few days...then it goes away. A reset brings it back...but obviously, very annoying and not something I want to do every week. I hope there's a more permanent fix.

There are several split posts regarding this issue, to help assist and let others know you are not alone, I am posting this on multiple threads with same questions.

This issue is affecting every 2022 Pacifica that has the BluRay player equipped.

Umm... we may need a class-action lawsuit if they don't fix soon...(that usually gets their attention).

I have an open ticket for this specific issue with Chrysler customer cares, but they have not called me back in the timeframe they said (48 hours).
To help, please call Chrysler Customer Cares and open a ticket. The more calls and complaints they have, the quicker they will fix it.

Call 1-800-992-1997. Please report your findings if they come up with any information.

If anyone discovers a fix in the meantime, please post to let others know, and hopefully we can get a sticky.
SUCCESS! I called the support phone number suggested above, talked with a very pleasant and patient tech support lady and have it working now. Took about 20 minutes on the phone, and some additional time afterward to do the second screen and restart the car to see the updates. (Be aware that you have to be in the ignition RUN mode with engine off, and that it will time out once or twice during the procedure.) It now has the Blu-Ray source in the list and it works!
From each rear screen you select the gear/settings button on screen, scroll to "devices and software", then click "about" to check for software updates and then "install". For this to work you must have a strong WiFi signal and I had to use the hotspot on my phone because the signal from the house isn't strong enough in the garage. You also have to login to an Amazon account in order to continue. I am still pressing my salesman to follow through on the promise of giving me the headphones for the system (which Chrysler no longer ships with the vehicles). They are currently on back order. Sure is a lot of hassle for a feature that we will hardly ever use, but since we paid for it I want it to work correctly!

My system remains flakey on if one side will work, both sides or no sides. I did a check today and the back screens i was able to update today to 7.2.9.1 (ps7291/2964) operating system, front still 24.18, both screens had blu ray when I started it before the update and the last few time's I've checked...we'll see how long it stays.

Well, 2 days in and so far, cautiously optimistic on this update. Everytime I've checked the back screens and the front system, bluray is there the last 2 days since this update. It is showing as a constant input even with out a disc in. We'll see, I'll add an update in a week.

Mine in for oil change and dvd/ rear screens not working.

Needs a new radio vIdeo module on back order.

worked 1 time partially, then stopped totally.

did all the recommendations on this forum to no avail. Has the latest software loaded.

2022 ice pinnacle. 6k miles

Will update if this fixes it when the part comes in.
