Not wanting to be one to risk voiding our lifetime warranty, I simply went to the dealer and bought a gallon of genuine Mopar MS-12106 coolant per the label on the top of the overflow tank. No worries.

The question is why does the owners manual call for MS.90032 coolant thirteen times and MS-12106 exactly zero times. You would think they would either sell a product with MS-90032 on the bottle or start changing their owners manuals to call out MS-12106.

This is common with many FCA vehicle including Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram.

The post wisejd pointed to is worth reading, but yes, the dealer is the only game in town right now, and previous formulations are not compatible. I have yet to find an aftermarket supplier that meets the specified MS.90032 standard. That standard is new since around 2014 or so. G-05 is definitely NOT compatible. It is a "hybrid organic acid technology" (HOAT) formulation and contains constituents (such as silicate and nitrite) which are not compatible with a pure OAT formula such as the MS.90032 specified for the new Pacifica.

Interestingly, in my searching on line, I see many people report that when they go to the dealer to buy the proper coolant, with the proper part number, the bottle identifies MS-12106, so there is still some confusion to go around. Mopar at least does spec that MS-12106 is an OAT coolant. I can find MS-12106 out there as I search, but no luck finding any MS.90032.

I'm still scratching my head on this a little.
I have the '18 Pacifica and when in doubt just head to Chrysler and get the real Mopar pink gallon $19.99 leaves all the guess work out!!. Never use the Green or Dexcool Orange.. I believe its MS-9769 Chrysler...Pay the $6 more...

We recommend you use Mopar Antifreeze/Coolant 10 Year/150,000 Mile Formula OAT (Organic Additive Technology) or equivalent meeting the requirements of FCA Material Standard MS.90032

Mopar OTA is purple. AC Delco Dexcool is red. Dexcool compatible is orange and NOT Dexcool. If you look at orange coolant bottles it says Dexcool compatible. OME Ford coolant is gold.

Orange HOAT 2000-2012 Red HOAT 2000-2012. Red and orange HOAT was replaced by red OAT in 2013. Red OAT was replaced with Purple OAT in 2014.

Anything other than Mopar purple OTA will void your warranty. Don't believe that stuff on bottles at part stores or Walmart that say mixes with any color. You will cause a chemical breakdown that can cause silica dropout or severe corrosion.

My dealer told me about a lady they put mixes with any color coolant in her 2016 Town and Country. It caused silica dropout, both front and back heater cores to plug up, the radiator to plug up, as well as cooling channels in the engine causing the vehicle to rapidly overheat. It costs over 14,000.00 to fix and voided her powertrain warranty. The service advisor told me he was surprised it was covered by her third party extended warranty coverage. He said they sent an adjuster to the dealership and reviewed the damage and approved the repairs. But after the repairs, they closed her extended warranty policy. He also said there was no way Mopar extended warranties would have covered this as it was a user error and not their fault it happened.

Ok. Ive got 50k miles on my '18 and getting ready to do flush and fill with new. Might be a little early but some sites say 150k miles or 10 years (which I think is waaaaay to long) or every 30k miles etc different opinions everywhere,,, Remember this coolant cools your transmission fluid lines also so if coolant degrades so does the cooling capacity of the trans. I'm just doing it now for peace of mind cant hurt...

That's way too early and a waste of money. This new coolant doesn't break down as fast as older coolants. Plus it is a sealed system with 0 contamination. Your radiator has two separate cooling pipes in it. One for coolant and one from the transmission. They do not cross-contaminate with each over. Unlike the piece of crap radiators on early Nissan Xteras. Those would fail and trash the transmission pumping coolant into them.

I waited until 148,000 miles to have my T&C flushed. The dealer techs told me the purple OAT was just as clear and clean as the new going in through the glass tubes on the flush machine they use.

The coolant is rated for 10 years or 150,000 miles changing it sooner will not hurt it one bit.
My Father in-law had a 50th Anniversary Corvette he would change the oil every 1,000 miles.

Great... anyone have an explanation for why my coolant is not purple?? Bought a prior rental with 12,000 miles on it.

What are my options if this is the wrong stuff....

Maybe someone put the wrong stuff in it? Your option would be to have the dealer flush the system with their machine for 149.99

The stuff you have in the bottle When you took the picture of the recovery tank is the right stuff I have an 18 with the exact same stuff in it it should not be purple. You're fine
Mine in the 2014 T&C was and is purple and in my 2018 it is purple. That is a pressure tank. It would be best to check the user manual for the correct coolant neither of my Chryslers uses HOAT coolant. If the manual says 10 years 150,000 miles it is purple. HOAT does not last that long. The purple OAT is the only thing Chrysler has been using since 2014.

If you're referring to the new 18 Pacifica cooling system that's awesome that you know that much about it I appreciate it. I don't have the purple coolant that you might have I have the orange pink stuff The Chrysler kind

This is silica dropout if you use the wrong coolant and it will cost you a fortune.

Alright, I am seeing confusing on other FCA forums as well. Looks like the purple OAT stuff can change color as it ages. The picture I posted of my reservoir doesn't really look purple, and doesn't really look bright orange. So I can believe that it is actually the purple stuff and has changed color. The manual makes it clear you should definitely be using OAT, but no mention of color of course.

I don't know why someone would have flushed it with orange HOAT, so I will assume I have OAT and add purple.

In my 18 Pacifica 49k miles it looks orange pink to me which is the right stuff. Every other one i looked at has the same color also so I know it's right not purple on these particular ones
Do what you will. Like I said before, "The purple OAT is the only thing Chrysler has been using since 2014.". Unless they are using something more advanced for the 2021s that I am not aware of.
