I have a 2018 Pacifica, bought new. Only 18,600+ miles on it, with original batteries.
I have owned many cars, and 5 years on a battery is about all one can expect, am I right???
I do put a battery maintainer on if we haven't driven it for a week or so, but with winter coming, I don't want a dead battery.
The stupid start/stop hasn't worked for a LONG time, but no warning light. Never had a problem starting.
I called AAA - if I take it to the AAA service center, they'll replace both batteries, 3 year warranty, for about $300.
I have always bought batteries and replaced them myself, still change my own oil, but I can't even see the other battery and I'm 76 now have very little patience left, so I want them replaced by a capable place.
Did a quick internet search - battery prices alone in $250-$275 range with nothing said about warranty or installation.
I don't want the better half to get stranded at a mall on a cold night.
What would you do?
