My 2021 Hybrid Pacifica Pinnacle has started clunking after reversing and turning to the left. It has 56,500 miles on it. We took it to the dealership where they charged us $215 to diagnosis that the lower left control arm needs replacing. It was covered under the basic warranty which ended in April 2024. So I'm trying to get them to cover it under the limited warranty since it is part of the wheel assembly. So far I've talked to Chrysler cares and they are offering a vehicle repair cost assistance. The dealership quoted almost $1800 to repair the lower left control arm so no idea what the assistance will bring it down to. But what I was wondering is if anyone has had any luck getting Chrysler to cover the lower control arm replacements under the limited warranty? I know there was a recall for the control arms on the 2017-2018 Pacifica models that Chrysler supposedly fixed the issue, however, browsing this forum it seems like many newer models are having the same problem. We did finally break down and buy an extended warranty through Endurance that's going to cost us $4k over the next 4 years but will provide coverage for any electrical or mechanical failure that may go wrong and with this being the third time our car has been to the dealership it will probably be worth it. They won't cover the control arm since it was a prior issue. This was our first 'new' car purchase (it was a little over a year old when we bought) and it has been an absolute nightmare. I will never own another vehicle made by Chrysler. 😭
