Hi,
Yeah, I had to put a deposit to order the car. As for compensation… Don’t get me wrong, I’m completely aware of the chip shortage issue. My issue is that the company was and still is producing vehicles for sale not just sold (ordered) vehicles. I should have been driving my new car months ago. All throughout the U.S. Chrysler dealerships have new cars for sale fresh from the factory (obviously not overflowing with new cars but new cars non the less). Why customers like me are put on the sideline. Case in point, a few months ago I discovered that a dealership was selling a similar car I ordered in a different color. I called my dealer and they could not do anything because they themselves did not have a car to swap with the other dealer. Quite frustrating and not very funny. I feel I’ve been waiting so long for this car unnecessarily. Now that the year is almost over that brand new car I ordered 8 months ago will be last years model in a few months paying full boat. So yes, I would like to know if anyone has questioned the sticker price and if the dealer they worked with offered them some type of compensation. And as for the 22 model, I don’t think the chip shortage issue will be as prolific as this year. And as for the price, I don’t see them increasing the price of new cars. I think next year there will be more incentives. The increase in price will be for used cars as they are now.
