Look at the third engine diagram. The camshaft actuators are on the front of the cylinder heads. You can easiliy verify if the camshaft actuator in question is bad by moving it to corresponding location (intake or exhaust camshaft) on the opposite cylinder head and seeing if the troublecode follows the part. If the troublecode doesn't change, the camshaft actuator isn't the problem. Both intake (#3 in diagram) and both exhaust (#2 in diagram) actuators are the same, but they are not interchangeable (can't swap intake with exhaust or vice versa). The intake camshafts are in the middle, and the exhaust camshafts are on the outside.
