That's exactly where I'm at with my radio @ this point. Waiting for the part to come in.

@Jerky_san Thats interesting. I guess that's good that it'll be a whole new unit and hopefully that's under warranty. This pdf is that describes the process for updating the uconnect radio but for another vehicle. See screenshot. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10190696-9999.pdf. There's one for the pacifica hybrid but I cant locate it. If I find it, I'll link it.

Just adding in case for future reference.

This is a pic from my previous service. As you can see the tech's note was could not update to 39.5 had to first do 28.4. So if yours is as old as mines, this is what I had to do before I was able to update my map.

There is this pdf that I found https://www.tsbsearch.com/Chrysler/08-105-21/346#toolbar=0&view=FitH that might be the reason for a replacement, but I think it really depends if they can update it or not. Good luck and hopefully either way if they are able to update or replace, you'll be with a new version. Maybe if they replace it, it'll come with a newer map already. Mines was from 2016 so that was the reason why I wanted to update. I couldnt find locations for newer places.

New radio was installed today with all updates. It seems faster and I like the changes they made. I highly suggest if you want the new uconnect you contact uconnect and tell them your radio isn't updating properly.

Btw..the radio when I first turned on the car had "uconnect marketplace"

Well finally got my radio replaced with the new software version after OTA and dealer updates failed. Now I ordered the map update but missed the $50 discount. The new software is definitely a lot different than the old software. Seems much more stable.

Wanted to give an update.. I called today and they said they released an update on the 17th of this month for the hotspot. The version is QR40.1 now.. does anyone have the ability to get the TSB or something? Also they were saying to wait a few days to see if my van got it but they are talking yet another dealer update which my dealer would want min $100 so guess I'm not getting it..

Just when I thought I got everything settled they decide to come out with an update. I'm glad but irritated at the same time.

Still no update.. They claim the update website is for 2017's and below(which is nonsense) when I asked why not just post the updates like every other car manufacturer. Claim you're supposed to get them OTA but you know.. if not go pay the dealer. Wish someone would just post it.. i doubt they are vin coded..

Btw they are being sued because uconnect is terrible(if they just pushed the updates many of these problems would probably be resolved)..

Thanks for the link - interesting.

Some people in the Jeep forums are saying they were able to get uconnect to send them the update directly by talking to an actual uconnect tech. My problem is that I can't get past the first level when I call. It's always this lady who stone walls me. Previously it was a guy who'd create me a ticket. Surely we have someone on this board that can get us the 40.1 files.

An update.. after my radio was replaced my mopar.com account shows me as "undefined". No mileage updates, vehicle warranty info(lifetime or otherwise) or any service records show. I'm trying to get that resolved and in the middle of it I'm attempting to get them to send me the files for 40.1. I'll tell you all how it goes..

Wait - wasn't the radio replaced at dealer? If I read correctly, UConnect paid for the radio, but they didn't do the install, right? Ask the Dealer why they didn't pair it when replacing - why wouldn't that be part of the install?

#212 ·
I did.. they say they still have to charge diagnostic fees and what not.. I filled a complaint with Chrysler about the dealer. I'm tired of all this nonsense frankly..

My argument is that something similar. You pay a plumber to install a toilet. The toilet doesn't flush properly. You don't pay the plumber a second time you tell him to do his **** job and do it right. It's nonsense that they are claiming I have to pay.

Contact Chrysler corporate and complain. If you get nowhere, be sure to leave a devastating review for the Stealer. It's the least you can do for them...

Today I called uconnect and straight up just asked if they would create a ticket to their back end and request they send me the 40.1 updates. I told them I would waive liability for doing it myself.(I read this off a Jeep forum) Supposedly they will send it if you can get a case raised.. We shall see but knowing how my luck is going lately...
