I was able too, but I have an ICE. You could pop off the plastic cover along the roof, that is where the mounting bosses will be, I think you would have them, but I don't have a hybrid to verify. Had a junk yard pull some roof rails off a wrecked Pacifica. The install was pretty straight forward. Mopar sells an aftermarket kit that has all the bits.

 

Hadn't thought about pulling a rack from a wrecked Pacifica - if I can find one that is likely a lot cheaper than buying new! Thanks for the tip.

 

I cannot speak for the 2022, but my 2018 PacHy did have the mounting bosses just like @yomanwill describes. No drilling necessary. I added the roof rack after I bought the van.

 

Good to hear, I am guessing it is only on the pinnacle for 2022 because of parts shortages or production delays so seems likely they share a common roof and those mounting locations would already be present in a limited roof. Thanks!

Roof rack for LX

Has anyone found a solution for putting a roof rack ( for canoes/kayaks) on bare roof of the LX ? Yakima and Thule say they can't make a clip to fit in the back door to hold towers on roof ... I won't drill thru roof to install an aftermarket rack. So far it doesn't look promising , and paying...

Was easy on 2018 LX. Just pop off the plastic strip and bolt on the OEM rack.

 

Excellent info. I bought the OEM roof rack installed the very easily myself. Only question, is there a specific torque to the nuts?

Wow hard to believe a Limited wouldn't automatically have one. Check Ebay all over the U.S, there are many wrecking yards with wrecked Paci's that part them out..

 

I'm planning on doing it to my "S". Just waiting to find one at a reasonable price.
I found this install video to be really informative.

 

Between 5:20 and 5:30 in the video looks like he snaps it in place.

Again, if I recall correctly, in the new part the bolts seemed to be coated with threadlock.

I'm all for getting used (but good condition) parts and did so for the center console and a third cross bar (to spread out load a bit - there is discussion about this somewhere on the forum), but for the roof rack I chose to go the new route.

 

According to the Chryslter dealers I'm dealting with, the 2022 Pinnacle Hybrid is the only one that comes with the roof rack. For the other models, you need to order one from Mopar, currently on sale for $360 plus 1 hour labor install.

 

Did you want the rack just for the looks or functionality.
