At low speed when I first push or release the gas, I hear a click sound like it is in the dash. Has anyone noticed this? The van operates fine, but I notice the little sound at times.
Yes, Nord-Locks can be re-used if disassembly is required at some point. The washer halves will come apart, though, so you must be sure to inspect and reassemble in the correct orientation.Great to hear. I looked them up on Fastenal website as well but they seemed more difficult to find. Better to just get them from the source.
Thanks again for that information. This would avoid a lot of folks a big headache.
Btw, can the washers be reused after being torqued, if say for example an axle needs replacement?
Honestly, all these American cars that don’t have staked axle washers, should bring these Nord-Locks from factory.
Ok, so just to be clear on this if I want to do both front axle nuts I need 2 sets of these so 4 washers total? I'd order quantity x2 of this?Yes, Nord-Locks can be re-used if disassembly is required at some point. Here's a video from Nord-Lock showing the proper steps for re-using the washers.

NL22sp, Lock Washer Steel
This product is suitable for all general applications. Washers with an enlarged outer diameter (SP) have the same inner diameter as the standard washers. They are designed to be used together with flanged bolts and nuts (ISO 4161,4162) on oversized and slotted holes, or on sensitive surfaces and...www.nord-lock.com

I see. Ok, I may have read it wrong. I was guiding my self by the two washers in the picture. If that’s the case I’ll return one set then. The description clearly says "2 Pairs/pack". I'm taking that to mean a pair is one set of Nord-Lock washers. So two pairs is two sets of washers.
Let us know when they come if you received 4 washers total. If I understand their operation right, you will need four total (2 per axle).I see. Ok, I may have read it wrong. I was guiding my self by the two washers in the picture. If that’s the case I’ll return one set then.
This is correct. You do not need to purchase two packs. The description clearly says "2 Pairs/pack". I'm taking that to mean a pair is one set of Nord-Lock washers. So two pairs is two sets of washers.
Got it, thanks for the clarification. I can see this being the go to DIY fix for this...Just to clarify, what Nord-Lock considers one washer is actually a pair of washer halves that are pre-assembled (glued together) from the factory. This wedge lock system works by using two washer halves (each with a cam side and serration side). If you purchase quantity one (1) of the NL22sp part number you will receive two complete washers (i.e. two sets of glued-together halves) and this will do both axles. You do not need to purchase two sets of washers.
If you guys watch the video I posted above, it will illustrate how the original set that you buy comes with the washer halves glued together. The glue is broken upon initial installation and if, in the future, you end up disassembling the setup, then you will have two washer halves to contend with.
Yup.. I agree with SitKneelBend.Got it, thanks for the clarification. I can see this being the go to DIY fix for this...
To be fair, that is probably an excellent idea so long as you get it right the first time and repeat it correctly the second!Yup.. I agree with SitKneelBend.
A much better option than my idea of drilling the Axle nuts and securing it to the axle with safety wire. lol
I asked my dealer to ask the tech when he fixed mine and he was told 120...2022 PacHyI think the factory axle nut torque specs are still at 120 lb-ft.
Anybody know for sure?
