I just purchased a 2018 hybrid Pacifica. Is this sound normal? It will creak/squeak loudly and only happens when turning from a stop and go. Sometimes it seems to happen at low speeds. I’m trying to ask the dealership questions and they won’t answer anything.

Sounds like what my 2018 pacifica hybrid was doing when I first purchased it. It ended up being the lower control arm for the driver side that they ended up replacing. They tried a TSB for applying loctite to the wheel hub, but that didnt fix it. Ended up taking it back to another dealer and they replaced the lower control arm. It would creak and then make like a popping sound when turning.

One other thing that used to produce creaks on our older 2008 Town & Country ... and I think I'll need to address on our Pacifica at some point as they really appear to share the same door hardware design .... are the metal tabs to which the sliding doors secure to when closed. A dab of white lithium grease spread across them prevents the doors from emitting creaking sounds, particularly when the chassis flexes while maneuvering on relatively uneven roadway (coming in/out of driveways, for example).

I would agree with other comments above, though, that this sounds more like suspension related components.

My daughter has a 2018 Pacifica Hybrid and was having the exact same noise. Long story short, the dealer had the call the STAR center at Chrysler national for help with the diagnosis. They told them it was a loose bolt on the subframe and the fix was to drop the subframe and re-torque every bolt. She’s currently fighting with Chrysler to get them to cover it. The van is 3 months/600 miles out of the 36 month/36,000 warranty. Hopefully yours doesn’t have the same issue.

STAR told the dealer that they were aware of this happening in other vans. Chrysler Customer Care said they were unaware of the issue. Ugh.

So I have this issue to and they will only replace one control arm and not both claiming my "Max care lifetime warranty" will not cover the other side unless it's making noise to. Aren't they supposed to replace both at the same time?
