Dear all,

As maybe seen in the other Top Speed thread we‘re seriously thinking about importing a Pacifica PhEV to Germany.
As it is not sold in Europe, service and maintenance is a critical factor but I heard a lot of the Bosch service points know about the engine.
Can someone confirm that the PHEV technology of the Pac is close to the Fiat 500 (although smaller, obviously)? I know someone who has imported 10 Fiat 500e and he has a good service for it

This have circulated different threads and may be of interest to you. I cannot comment on the Fiat 500e.

There are many similarities with other vehicles but I believe that doesnt so much matter without parts and diagnosis equipment and special tools to actually perform most work.

I went the extra step and joined wiTech, TechAuthority and purchased a J2534 passthrough device to be able to avoid a dealership and perform my own software updates and diagnosis. But this still leaves me without parts or tools.. However I am a BMW HVE tech and understand the technology.

I have a warranty and if something expensive goes I will let them pay the bill. What would you do?

If you would like more info let me know.

Wow, you did that? You must be a rich man:smile2:

Can you post what kind of the HV battery info is visible in wiTech?

Thanks @m0ebius604, well that‘s what I‘m discussing with my wife. Especially since reading a lot of paybacks in this forum. We won‘t have that. We won‘t have warranty replacements.
Argh, that‘s too bad.
