I wish I had a person who could do that. Chrysler is being vague about it. Of course they want me to go to a dealership. But I am saying this is a safety matter. If someone is in the car and it all of a sudden misfunctions they have been contacted by others. I am in a real tight squeeze financially right now. How do we get others to contact Chrysler to get a group going on this or see if this could be some sort of recall issue?
The reason they're being vague about it is that it's willfully poor engineering destined to get you in to spend ~500 or so to fix the damned thing.

Man. Came looking for how to fix the **** thing and found this thread...guess it's time to jimmy rig it...was really hoping that there was just some kind of pully that had gotten stuck or something. I really do love the van but between this, the back up camera no longer working, and the **** known issues with oil leaking the **** thing is becoming a money pit.

Use this guide for the backup camera. Cheap (ish) and easy fix:

To all of you following this post, nothing will be done unless you file a formal complaint with NHTSA. If you have not done so yet, please go to this link and fill out the information on your van. It only takes a couple of minutes, and it's the only way we'll get movement from Stellantis to get this problem addressed in the way that it should be, i.e. via a safety recall at their expense.
