When I took my wife's Pacifica to the dealer, the service rep said the factory panels were not prepped and painted correctly and that the new panel we were getting from their body shop would be much better. One can only hope that the factory has corrected the prepping and painting process by now.
Glad to hear you hear you got most of it taken care of. I'm in the same process at the moment again. I originally had issues last year where they took care of it and repainted the areas, but recently noticed it again on the underside of the hood now forming. Estimate now is a hood replacement so I'm waiting to see what the dealer and Chrysler does.

FWIW, our service rep said if they spot any corrosion whatsoever in the seam on inside of the hood's leading edge that they automatically request a new hood from Chrysler.

I just t notice a week ago I also have 2 spots of bubbling on My hood also.. I have a 2017.
Hi Cboud60,

We appreciate you sharing your experience. If you are open to consulting with your certified Chrysler dealer, we are committed to exploring these matters further with you to see if there is any recourse available to address your corrosion concerns at this time.

The dreaded bubbling paint issue has affected our 2017 TLP as well. Has 31,000+ miles on it. Original owner of the vehicle. I will try reaching out to my local Chrysler dealership after the Thanksgiving holidays to see if this will be covered by their paint warranty, but I doubt it.

Unfortunately I agree that I doubt they would do anything considering for sure that would be out of the corrosion warranty period. Good luck though.

100% had this done right before my 5 years was up. If you have bubbling on the hood edge or anywhere get this done before your 5 year expires. I had to find a dealer that could get it done as I was a month away from my 5 years and some dealers were saying they couldn't do it for a month or two so I had to go find one who could do it right away.

2017 here. only owner. this appeared about 2019... being our only car and insanely busy schedule I did take to the dealer to have it looked at, but never started the warranty process since couldn't figure out how to keep the car in the shop for weeks. Anywho, I will just have to pay out of pocket I suppose. Follow others advice and take it in before the 5yrs

Found a paint bubble on our less than 1 year old Pacifica. Our local dealer is waiting on Chrysler to approve the repair. Hoping for a fast turn around to get this fixed before it gets worse.
This is common problem. Aluminum is oxidizing under paint. Had my 21 done last year. Warranty, hood REPLACEMENT. Don't let them try repair, they know it does not work. Hoods may be on wait list. Think it took a month or two to get mine.( Hmm, wonder why...} Had the Dealer shop paint the rocker panels and fix any dents and dings on my dime. As long as they had it in for body work. Rental or loaner is included. Jeep is having same issue with their door hinges. Long wait for those.
