2017 Pacifica Touring L cylinder 5 misfire code at around 98k - dealer found burn in ignition coil boot, replaced ignition coil boot and spark plug. Still ran rough and code reappeared. Overheated and blew head gasket right after 100k. Swapped out engine with used one (59k miles on used one), mechanic found crack in radiator hose and replaced it.

80,000 miles
Head gasket good / intact, never overheated, internal head crack not easily accessible for visual confirmation but coolant on top of valves and oil looks good (no coolant). Needs a new engine.

Additional info:
Around 78500 check engine light and running rough, misfire on #6 cylinder. Dealer replaced spark plug and coil. Pressure test good, indicating good head gasket. Ran fine for a 1500 mile road trip till we got home. Then check engine light again and white smoke. One day it wouldn't start. Towed to the dealer and the rest is history. Currently at the dealer awaiting engine replacement.

If you have a 2017+ Pacifica that has required a motor replacement in under 100,000 miles please list the following in this thread. Regardless if it was covered under warranty.
1. Year model
2. Trim level
3. Milage

I’m preparing a list to provide to an attorney for a class action lawsuit. I currently have 53 confirmed cracks in engine blocks due to a possible casting error in the blocks itself with milage less than 70k miles.
I have a 2017 pacifica touring with 92,800 miles and have to have the engine replaced.
Is there any recourse against chrysler for defective engines?
I have always changed the oil at 5,000 miles or less and have done all the maintenance

have a 2017 pacifica LX with around 80,000 miles. Got a code light two days ago... which was p0303... read some forums many of which talked about blown head gasket.... looked at the coolant reservoir and it was empty. Changed the spark plug and ignition coil... now I have multiple codes going off and coolant turned thick red; engine is running "rough"....

I just had to replace our motor in our 2017 pacifica touring with 92000 miles .
Like everyone else it started with a rough idle when first started which made engine light come on.
Took it in and had to get a tune up with plugs and coil packs for $1,100.
Still didn't idle right and got another code for a different cylinder and the it just started blowing white smoke.
I decided to have a new engine installed since there were so many others with the same problem and it's impossible to get through to Chrysler. $10,000 engine seemed to fix the problem.

Of course it was. It's designed to fail. Chrysler copied the German manufactuers who use plastics in the cooling system. Plastics anywhere near the heat cycling of an engine is one of the dumbest engineering decisiones ever made.

Those of us with experience maintaining the BMW E46 engine know the biggest threat to grenade that engine is due to the plastic cooling system components.

At least BMW required you to actually overheat the engine. Chrysler isn't that smart.
E46...those were the good days! 330i manual. Man I miss that car.

Yes, they called this morning to confirm they had to remove, dissemble, and replace major engine components and I had to replace the 500-amp fuse twice.
Can you be more specific about which 'major engine components' need replacing?
