Will I get a 4G hotspot now instead of 3g? Have anyone tried this to make it work?
Not sure how it would be possible as the hot spot hardware and subscription info are tied to the VIN. Changing it out will not change the specs designated for the VIN.

@irpilot - how were you able to get rid of the radio locked message ? I installed a 2018 one today and got the error. I checked after 4 hours and still have the anti theft code message.
Interesting. I had an unlock code that I got from someone for the serial number and put it in but he said I probably wouldn't even need it. I know they used to sell the unlock codes on eBay...you sure you got everything hooked up properly? Also try resetting the uconnect by pulling the F76 fuse for a few minutes.

Thanks for the quick response.
I left it overnight. Now it shows a NAV option which it did not before. So I assume the BCM refresh or whatever is complete.
However, I still get the anti theft code screen.
I tried the F76 option, but that did not work either.
I have reached out to a few eBay resellers with the serial code. Waiting on response. Let’s see if that helps.

I got the receiver part that I ordered. They sent totally a different part than what was mentioned in the description . As per them, they have to send 68351932. But they sent totally a $100 useless.

Here's the update so far.

I got a different amplifier part than what has been suggested in the thread so far.

The Amplifier/receiver part I got was 6830880. The ebay seller did provide the VIN number so I could verify that it was from a 2018 Pacifica. The screen part is still the same. You can verify the VIN here - https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=2C4RC1BG4JR102357 . Just change the VIN number to the one you're looking for.

After install, my device was locked. I for a device unlock code using this seller - RA2 RA3 VP3 VP4 RA4 REJ Radio Anti Theft Unlock Code Service Dodge Chrysler Jeep | eBay

My navigation is not working. I do see the navigation icon occasionally, but haven't been able to make it work. I think I should go to a dealer to get this working.

Apart from that the overall system is working great. Obviously no sirius and uconnect access but carplay works great.

The one really great side effect that I was not really expecting was that the rear and front cameras are so much better. I was really disappointed with the rear cameras on my 2017 because it was not clear. Moreoever, it was always dark because the screen changed brightness with the auto head light settings.

With the new parts, the screen is set to full brightness when in reverse and normal all other times. In addition, the video quality itself is so much better. I can't believe Chrysler put such a bad screen in the 2017s. TBH, If I knew about the rear camera quality improvement, I would have bought these upgrades for that alone.

After months of reading on this forum, i decided to jump in the wagon of used parts to upgrade my '17 PacHY Platinum with RA4 system. I really wanted to have Android Auto and i found Infotainment's route too expansive. So, i will try to sum everything up in a nutshell here to share my experience and help you to make a decision.

For me, it has been as simple as 1, 2, 3, 4.
1: found a 2018 used UAV head unit on LKQ
2: found a 2018 used screen and vents on eBay
3: found a brand new FAKRA HSD LVDS Z connector Straight 50cm on eBay, same connector on both sides
4: found a unlock service on eBay to unlock the radio

Installation took about 15 minutes, left one antenna cable unplug because there is no place to plug it on the new head unit, this cable is for 3g services and i will not use them.

Turned it on and set everything, turn it off and let it wait few hours to let it settle everything else.
Voila! All the functions work as it should except built in navigation is not getting GPS fix. No big deal since i use google navigation all the time. I will take a look closer to this bug this week with my dealer, maybe a firmware update or defective unit.

I would like to thank everyone who contributed on tis topic i would have never try to swap the radio if you never did the first try for us in first place!

Hats off real low.

Can you post an eBay link to your cable? Also, you can call Sirius and get it activated if you want. Congrats!

What's the part number for UAV?

So I received the unit today and tried to install it. There are some differences between the RA4 and the UAV and the wires in the dash (for example, there's an orange coax that was connected to the RA4 and when I called into Infotainment's support they said I didn't need to connect that to anything on the UAV (but I still asked them what it was for, and so far they haven't gotten back to me yet). Also, there's a black connector on the back of the UAV that's apparently a diagnostic port and I was told to ignore it. (I'll post pictures of the units for comparison tomorrow).

When I connected the available wires and harness to the UAV, it turned on and was able to control my in-car HVAC (good sign), CarPlay worked great, but I cannot hear any audio (fairly major issue, right?). I have a 2017 Limited, and I called Infotainment right as their support was closing, so hopefully tomorrow they'll get back to me with why the unit isn't sending audio to the speakers. Fingers crossed. I'll let everyone here know what happens tomorrow.
How is your experience so far with the after market unit? Are you facing challenges with software updates, etc,. I’m thinking of buying one for my Pacifica 2017.

This is the best reading thread I've ever encountered. Kudos to all of you for your kindness to strangers and noobies. I read all 158 posts and feel I can conquer this upgrade. Now if I can only convince my wife to let me play with her Pacifica. Thanks again

The screen part number is P68316174AB . This is the same part number for 2018 and 2019 models.

The processing unit numbers that seem to work are
1. 68351931AH
2. 68308807AE - This is what I am using and carplay works fine.
