Hi all, just wanted to add my name to the list of Pacifica owner with the high frequency vibration noise heard in the steering column at speeds above 35-40 mph. I have a 2020 which I bought new last month. Took it to dealership today for repair of this problem and was told that they contacted Chrysler corp. about the noise. This is what dealership told me: The Chrysler corp. knows that other Pacifica owners have the same problem but the company does not have a solution. I find that hard to believe since on this same thread we have an owner reporting the same issue in November, 2017. Dealership said they checked my wheel bearings and couldn't find anything wrong. They recommended I drive a few thousand miles more and then bring it in for them to check again. The dealership acknowledged they have seen this thread on the forum as well, however, they said that only one owner has had their problem repaired by the replacement of hubs and wheel bearings. Anyone else have any recent experiences at dealerships for this issue? I think concerted owners' testimony could get the corporation to do something to fix this.

My 2020 Pacifica Hybrid has developed a noise behind the driver dash area that is pretty clearly a small fan hitting something. It’s apparent when the car is on and comes to a friction halt when the van is powered off with the power button. I have a video to demonstrate. I’ll attempt to make the video available via link. Anyone know about this noise. I’m sure it’s not the wheel bearing noise from the majority of this post.

Hi christopherfergi,
If you decide to visit your local dealer to diagnose this concern and would like additional assistance, feel free to send us a PM. We'd be happy to help.

I rented a 2021 Pacifica and it was making the same noise at 27K miles. I looked at the backside of the left front wheel hub and found that 3 of the 4 bolts holding the hub onto the car had unscrewed and were rubbing against the CV joint next to the hub. See attached picture. This is extremely unsafe and I called the rental company and had the car towed away. From the picture I'm guessing the bolts were not properly torqued at the factory or there was no lock-tite applied to the treads!

I too would like to ad mine to the list. Had it built to spec and received late January this year. So far have put slightly under 3K under the tires and recently started hearing a buzzing around the drivers instrument panel/firewall area. Sounds like what you would get with a harness tag or tape end flapping in the wind, but have checked closely and it is definitely steering related. Above even a crawl, loading the steering wheel starts the noise, with anything towards the left dropping to near zero. Straight ahead is enough to drive you nuts, especially as speed increases, but loading/turning the wheel to the right has the noise get louder. At highway speeds you just want to get out and rip every tag off. However, I now know this has nothing to do with the "Playing card in the spokes" type resonance.

Was told to put several thousand Ks on the vehicle before bringing it in for warranty to prevent trying to return it every week for something new and have a list of a few nitpick items, (noisy 20" tires, a CD/DVD system that is not recognized and wind noise from the passenger side).

ps. Must add this noise does NOT occur at zero speed, so trying to tie it directly to the electric steering boost difficult or impossible. With all the steering angle sensors and other safety system integration I lack the experience to contribute any more but my own diagnostic tricks. As a Pilot/AME could go deeper and have some extra data, but don't want to go too deep into the weeds on minutia until I find if related.
