I got a 68461768AA receiver and a P68316174AB screen.
It all works when I first boot it up, NAV shows my location and carplay works but I do have missing options such as; the passenger seat controls (cool heated) and little things like the headrest fold. There's the claim to turn off and let modules sync but as as soon as I do I get this blank issue however the only difference is I get no reverse camera.
How long has it been installed?
My understanding is the radio needs to learn what options are available. I would shut off the vehicle and let it go to sleep. Wait a few hours and see if the problem continues. My guess is it will clear after a few drive cycles.

Only a past an hour now without me messing with it. I'll try to leave it longer. Maybe one of my wiring is wrong but it wouldn't make sense if everything works (the first boot) except after I shut the vehicle off. The only other thing is I somehow Canada Version but how could I check that? I checked the VIN and the parts came from limited models, would it matter if it was hybrid or not?

Did you stick all cables from your car to the new unit?
The cable for the reverse camera you have to plug into the upper part of the new unit. I made it wrong too and forgot to plug this.
Forget about the colours of the plugs only the fitting is important.

The only one I am unsure about is the orange wire, would this go into the red upper? (Not in the picture but just out of frame top right) I’ve seen the pink doesn’t get used but the “orange” is the only one left unplugged but I’ve heard it doesn’t need to be plugged? I plugged in the green to the lower by the new FAKRA cable. The rest were essentially color coded? thanks for the replies, hope to get this sorted!

You cant get wrong only the fitting is important! In my case the male and the female plug did not have the same colour... And the reverse camera did not work without plugging thhe last cable into the plug in the upper right plug.
I remember it was a little bit tricky because of the short cable...

I tried to connect that orange connector and got stuck to the red and I managed to pry it off after finding no change in my issue. I’m unsure what to do now. As mentioned earlier, everything works on the first boot until I restart the vehicle then the issues arise and also no backup camera. Only thing I can think of is maybe one of the connection need to be flipped or I got a bad unit… also I should mention it did ask for the lockout code which I obtained and put in the first time just fine. I put it in once and every-time I hard boot it prompts me that the radio is locked and “please start vehicle” once I do it automatically unlocks. This is after a first time boot after a reset which works with missing functions more importantly the backup camera.

Can someone verify whether I got the wrong receiver?
The screen maybe wrong?

Where did you purchase the radio from? Do you know the source vehicle? Did it happen to show a different Brand at first boot?

Do not force the wires onto the Fakra connectors, they are keyed for purpose and can break very easily.

From top to bottom for the colored connections pictured...

Red - Unused
Pink - Unused
Mustard - SXM/GPS Antenna
White - AM/FM Antenna
Bourdeaux - Cellular Antenna

Your backup camera signal is coming from the main radio harness connection (Radio C1)

Howdy, I have the vins for both vehicle. I got the receiver from 2020 limited hybrid. Which is why I asked if hybrid mattered. The screen is from 2018 limited hybrid as well. I provided the way I connected these wires, I’m unsure if they go in the correct slots given they appear color coded. My issue is the same as jasonthemann I quoted in my first post. It all works first boot up, Chrysler logo appears. NAV shows my location, radio works and even Bluetooth connects and CarPlay when usb plugged. It’s when I go to shut off the car and turn it back on when the issue comes, blank screen but when I move the ac controls I see it pop up and when I power down the car the shutdown splash screen appears. I have skimmed through and was unable to see what jasonthemann ended up coming up with, unfortunately that was 3 years ago.
Thanks for the reply, we’ll see what this ends up being…

Does the radio bezel for the UAV have a manual screen off button and if so have you tried pressing it when this occurs? Does audio still play when your screen is blank?

That’s a great question, I actually don’t think it does! And yes the screen off button on the dash doesn’t do anything when it goes into the blank state. And I’m pretty sure the radio doesn’t work but honestly I can’t remember if it did or not. I’ll be going home to fiddle with it some more later. I tried to leave it overnight and I went ahead and installed my old one for the wife when it didn’t. This all does work on first boot up though, again. I looked in the forum and someone has the same unit but instead of red they have a blue in the top right. They claim to connect their mustard cable to the “blue” (my red) I wonder if that would work.
And just to be clear the orange cable from my original is not used correct? The green and orange were originally at the bottom of the old receiver but only green seems to have a home.

No, that will not work. If you really want to understand think of the Fakra connections like keys. If you look at the male and female ends you can clearly see how the connection is keyed. As stated earlier, they are very easy to break off.

If you could post pictures of the back of your original radio plugged in I can better tell if anything is wrong. If you could also take a picture of the connection you are referring to as orange I can let you know it's function.

looks exactly like this one ,see orange and green at the bottom of the unit. VP4 unit 2017. All connectors besides pink are used. White goes in white, mustard in the middle and the reddish one in the right. The original has two different white connection which do not fit the new one at all, hence the new FAKRA cable required. The screen connects to one and then another separate one to the receiver. From the new one I am not using both white connections as you use the new FAKRA cable, and also the orange isn’t being used either. Do I need an additional connector? Am I missing a connection?

I’m sorry I do believe the white connector can actually plug into the receiver and the screen but following the guides they wanted a new cable? I’m now questioning the point of the FAKRA cable, did I not need it or do the old connections not fit, I didn’t try it to be honest.

I’m starting to believe I didn’t need the new cable after all… I already have these two connections. I didn’t try it and I want to say that was the issue. I already have an 8.4 screen. Is the new cable for those who don’t have 8.4 right?

I will have to wait to try this out in about 4-5 hours.

Regarding the white cable between the processing unit and the display.. my understanding is that even though they are the same connector, the pinout is different (as this is a 4-pin connector). I believe others have tried with the original 2017 cable and it didn't work. I purchased a new cable for my upgrade and it worked well. I didn't even try the old cable due to the comments that I read here.

Ahh, I see… that makes sense why the new cable comes into play then. I’m just trying wrap my head around what can be wrong when everything appears to work fine until I turn the car off. As I stated earlier, I am unable to “tinker” with it until I get home so we’ll see. Other than no camera option and minor missing options. The thing works flawlessly until you restart the vehicle. Then it goes black screen, no splash screen when turning on, only splash screen when turned off but you move the fan speed up and down the circle pops up indicating the speed.
Thanks for the replies!

I am only speculating that the receiver would just be incompatible? I figured a limited 2020 would have the same surround view front and rear cameras etc? I mean I’m just not sure, I’ve provided pictures, I’m hoping someone would see I may have plugged something into the wrong slot or something. I’ll try to PM jasonthemann and see if he responds(probably not). Thanks again!

Glancing through this forum, I am going to determine this receiver is VIN locked therefore won't work. I am in the process of looking for a different unit, if anyone has any input please feel free.
Sorry for any spam, I will only update again if I find a valid receiver.
Thanks to all those who assisted me!

Did you try the new cable?

You have a screen from a 2018+ but a receiver from a 2017. The "Harman" on it is a dead giveaway, besides the "2017" on another picture.
