Hello, Hidalgo11! This can happen because of different reasons. One of the reasons can be a problem with the driver's side electricity system. The second reason can be the defect in the led lights from the driver's side. In any case, you should approach your car dealer and see what they can do to fix this issue. Also, I would recommend you replace these led lights with the [spam link removed by mod] and you can find many of them at sites like Amazon or other lighting related sites.

Yes, I even changed the fused for the headlight and nothing. Do you know if its replaceable?
It is replaceable, look on FLEA-BAY for a used module replacement. If it's the limited, look for the 6-LED module. youtube has instructions on how to remove the front bumper to access the headlight assembly. The dealer will only sell you the whole headlight assembly.

I know this thread has eased down, but I'm curious if there's been any confirmation that the module may be the answer to fixing the LED 'strip'? I've already lost the warranty battle after 3 times back and forth with the dealership and Extended Warranty company. "Sealed light fixtures" are not covered. :/

Part number for Pacifica Touring L drivers side is 6002TP0103. The passenger side P/N should be one digit away. Mine has failed twice. Used part from Bone yard should be around $35.00. Anybody handy with tools can replace it.

Yes, assuming it's the module, depending on your trim level and year, you need the single LED module (Touring L+ and below) or the 6-LED module (Limited). Very easy to obtain (fleabay) and to install. The PIA part is removing the front facia, looks fairly easy though according to a couple of youtube videos. Let us know!

Got it! Yep, I've got the Limited, so will check the bay for that model. When I start the vehicle, the strip does fully flicker 10 to 12 times before it dies out, so there's that glimmer of hope. 😅 Anyhow, will be sure to update!

As you know the LED modules are left and right specific but the control module is not (note the 6 LED's) There is a slim chance you'd need the "control" module that mounts under the headlight housing. I've attached pictures of the module(s) you need and the possibly the control module, both are cheap on fleabay, consider getting both.

Thank you!!! In a matter of 10 minutes, was able to find both of those (LH side though) on the bay for a grand total of just under $50. I've already watched a couple YT vids on how to get the bumper off for headlamp access. I think I'm going to give it a go. Heck, I've already burned way more than this just on the dealership's horrible diagnosis fee...Only to remain stuck with a $1,200 quote for them to replace the headlight as the fix. Smh

Btw, the plan is to try just the control module first, wire up, see if that fixes. Again, since that whole strip lights, flickering 10 times quickly before staying out every time I start the vehicle, it really makes me believe it's the controller vs the ballast module.

I will be sure to update with my results.

Well, as promised, following up, and with good news - my LED strip is FINALLY FIXED! Thanks again @Greyrock, wouldn't have been able to do this without your guidance.

NOTES:
  • As per my plan, I first tried only the Headlight Ballast Control Module (Part Number = 147000015100) tested, and it worked!
  • I'd still had the LED DRL Headlight Ballast (Part Number = 6002TP0105) ready to go, but ended up not needing it. May send it back to the seller for a partial refund.
  • The bumper removal and entire process took all of 1 hour, and I didn't have my power drill charged or it could have been much quicker honestly. There were no gotcha's based off the YouTube videos out there on getting to the headlight. Also, I had no screws or clips laying around after the job, so that is a testament of how painless and easy it should be!
So, TLDR: If your LED Strip is out, but it flickers quickly several times when you start the vehicle or turn on the headlights, the above may be your fix---for under 20 bucks.

Good luck to any one that comes across this post, and feel free to DM me on here if any questions on the process! 😄

Actually I’m dealing with 5he same issue with my 2017 Limited Pacifica. Headlights work fine but LED strip on driver side is out. . Consequently many people tell me ive got a headlight out….ugh. Local dealer said $1584.00 to replace headlight assembly. Labor intensive.

So I have the same issue but in passenger side. Is it the same part number? Also my headlight doesn’t work on that side, but the high beam does work. Wondering if that module replacement might fix both issues. I’ve changed the HID bulb twice and doesn’t fix it.

To revive this topic, I’ve got a 2017 hybrid Platinum (now called Hybrid Limited) which has the 6 Led setup for the DRL. For the past few year the driver’s side (LH) has been dimmer than the Passenger side, but not out. @rtj4k and @Greyrock do you suspect this would be the Headlight Ballast Control Module (Part Number = 147000015100) or LED DRL Headlight Ballast (Part Number = 6002TP0105)? I’m thinking since mine doesn’t flicker like yours and is simply dimmer leads to the LED DRL ballast. Thoughts?

I have 2017 limited. Drivers side LED strip would flicker when I started it. Replaced both modules from ebay as mentioned above. Unfortunately for me, the problem remains. 😒 It is a sucker punch as my only path I know of is a new or "working" light assembly. I could run with it not working as I have for the entire summer but it drives me crazy!
